From 2023-2024, Michael was the primary engineer for the weekly podcast The Assignment with Audie Cornish for CNN Audio. Each week, Michael mixed, sound designed, and provided scoring for a new episode of the show. As part of this, he worked with the show’s host and producers to choose an entirely new palette of musical scoring for the show, including new intro and final credits themes, creating an updated sonic signature for the podcast.
